Outlander Season 5: Will There Any Update for season 6?
For fans of the Outlander series, there’s no doubt that outlander season 5 has been one of the best so far. Despite some rocky spots in the middle, it’s picked up again to bring fans to the edge of their seats as they await the finale of this season. Which has certainly not disappointed fans so far with its Easter eggs and callbacks to earlier seasons. Here’s everything to know about the outlander season 5.
Know about Outlander Series:
For those who don’t know, Outlander is an award-winning drama based on a bestselling series of novels written by Diana Gabaldon. The premise of both the books and show is pretty straightforward: Claire Randall travels back in time, where she falls in love with Highland warrior Jamie Fraser and all sorts of other crazy stuff ensues. It’s historical fiction/romance and thus encompasses many different genres, but it does share one thing in common with most shows currently airing on television today—it loves Easter eggs. Oh, how it loves them. When I watch episodes, I often feel like I’m playing a game of finding myself an Easter egg!
When done well, they add an extra layer or two to plot lines while also offering little side stories that engage fans and provide new information about familiar faces and places in your world. But, unfortunately, they feel clunky and forced. An entire post could be dedicated to what makes a good Easter egg versus a bad one.

Two books into Diana Gabaldon’s series, we finally get a look at some more clues on what exactly will be happening in season 5 outlander. Just like Game of Thrones, Easter eggs are scattered around Outlander like an abundance of landmines that Jamie and Claire can stumble into. The book most people will be looking for is The Scottish Prisoner. Jamie spends some time at Ardsmuir prison and becomes acquainted with a few key characters for season five. There’s Billy Abernathy (Sterling Beaumon), Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), and Ned Gowan (Bill Paterson).
If these names don’t ring a bell right away, you should familiarize yourself before watching outlander season 5 netflix. Each one will play a large role in how things go down at Ardsmuir, and they’re all fantastic reads. However, if you’re big on spotting Easter eggs. It would strongly recommend picking up Sony Crackle’s Outlander prequel show The Fitz Files. It has quite a bit of content that comes straight out of The Scottish Prisoner. Again though, if you skip over them or have no clue who they even are, then it won’t matter much to your experience in season five.
Number of episodes in Outlander season 5:
It is essential to know how many seasons of Outlander are on Netflix. Currently, there are 13 episodes in outlander season 5. The first four episodes of season five will hit Starz on August 9th. And every episode after that will be released weekly every Sunday night. That means that all sixteen episodes will air by early November. A book series is also available if you want something similar to read before watching. Or if you want more Outlander, check out Outlander: A Novel by Diana Gabaldon. It is written like an episode guide and is told from Claire’s point of view, so it isn’t exactly canon. But it does fill in some blanks before she arrives back in her period with Jamie as well as once they’re together again.
The Characters of Outlander Season 5:
One of the best parts is the main characters outlander Netflix season 5. For example, Frank’s mother tells him that she wasn’t in France during WWII, but we know she was. Likewise, Claire’s uncle was part of a Nazi plot, which Frank knows but Claire doesn’t. The ultimate challenge for Claire and Frank going forward is that they’re two people who both have so much they’re hiding from each other. If they want to create a healthy relationship again. There can be no more lies and secrets between them because then they’ll be able to take it day by day.
As Gillian Anderson put it: Frank has some big shoes to fill if he wants any trust with her. At least initially, until he earns that trust, I think she’s going to try to avoid him as much as possible. She’s said as much, and I agree—if you feel betrayed once, you don’t forget it easily. I don’t think Claire would ever willingly give her heart away after all these years, but she will continue. That is his most authentic self-come to life. Finally, standing up straight and facing what he needs to face no matter what consequences may fall upon his head.
Outlander Easter Eggs About Jamie and Claire:
Throughout season 5 outlander Netflix, our beloved couple has been separated and even captured. The person behind their misfortunes is none other than Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers). If you haven’t been paying attention to any of his appearances. Here is just a few Easter eggs that hint at who he is. On the other hand, fans notice similarities between Stephen and Randall Floyd (aka Black Jack), one of Black Jack’s aliases.
Both men share some physical features in common. Such as a hook nose and thin lips. Also, it appears that Stephen doesn’t know age throughout outlander season 5. Something only possible for men like Black Jack, who consume elixir regularly. Randall also gives young Jamie some sailing lessons when they meet on River Run Farm. If they were the same, then it would explain why Jamie knew how to sail well before most kids his age did during that period.

Fans are obsessed with rumours about whether or not Frank will be out of life for season six. The show’s producers have promised that Claire and Jamie will live happily ever after. But we know better than to believe them. After all, Game of Thrones would never have killed Ned Stark. If they weren’t planning on bringing him back somehow later down the line. Rumours online predict that finally, you will see a dramatic showdown between Jamie and Frank in season six.
But it won’t end well for poor Mr Fraser, with some saying he may die at Black Jack Randall’s hands before he gets a chance to make amends with his younger brother. Others believe that because Jamie is such an important character – and lead male actor, Sam Heughan is so popular – he’ll survive any battles ahead. Either way, fans agree they want to see more Caitriona Balfe as both Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser and Brianna Randall MacKenzie. So there’s every reason to assume she’ll also be alive when season 6 starts filming next year. As time travel plays such an important role in season five, viewers think it’s only natural it’ll continue into season six as well.
