How To Be An Employee That Employers Would Like To Have
These days, many employers say that they are having a very hard time finding well qualified employees that will do their jobs efficiently and quickly. It also isn’t easy to find responsible employees who will do all the things that will make them stand out as a valuable employee. There are nine things that you can do to make sure that you are the employee that those employers would love to have in their organization. One more way to discuss this concept would be to ask yourself how to be a great employee. These nine traits are not in any particular order of importance but they are all important qualities to have.
1. Arrive to your place of work on time
This is one of the most important things to remember. As an employee working for your organization must always show up on time. If you need to show up ready to work every day at 9 in the morning, then that is when you need to show up. Showing up on time means that you are responsible and mature. This may sound like a cliché but whatever happens, make sure that you do not arrive to work late!
2. Follow the company’s dress code
Every company has a dress code that they expect all their employees to follow. Make sure that you follow whatever that dress code is.
3. Be positive and smile
Being positive at your place of work and having a smile on your face is one of the best things that you can do. A positive person will add to the productivity of the company because they like their work and they will work as hard as they can to set a good example.

4. Be productive
Productivity is the standard by which employees will be judged. Make sure that you are able to produce at the highest level for the organization which you work for. If you cannot produce, it doesn’t matter how nice of a person you are. Productivity really counts in the business world.
5. Be a good listener
Your listening ability is put to the test every day. Make sure to be a good listener and get the message correctly. If you get the message correctly, everything will go smoothly and costly mistakes on the job can be avoided.
6. Don’t do anything that is unethical
Make sure that you follow all the company policies so that you don’t do anything that is unethical. If you have a question about any of your organization’s business practices or if you are unsure whether something is ethical or not ask your immediate supervisor! But don’t ever overstep your boundaries on the job.
7. Respect all of your co-workers and supervisor
Respect is very important in the business world. Treat others how you would want to be treated.
8. Report any violations of company policy
As an employee, to be responsible and be valuable, make sure that you report any violations of company policy as soon as you suspect that there may have been a violation. Doing so will help make sure that such actions do not go unnoticed again. Also, as an employee, you must report any violations of company policy such as the disclosure of confidential information to people who are not supposed to be getting that information. This is another way to prove how responsible you are.

9. Don’t judge others or put them down
Your co-workers are only human and they will have their flaws. Don’t be too harsh and put others down. Putting others down will only diminish your worth as an employee.
Being a valuable employee especially these days is very important. You want to make sure that you can set a good example and be productive for as long as you work for your organization. No job lasts forever so make sure to be the best employee that you can be. Remembering these nine points is a good way to start being that employee that those employers will love.
